║2001 seconds: a synth odyssey ║
╚════════════════════╝

------3G's: Liftoff------
You are leaving earth, the only home you have ever known.

------Arrival------
You have arrived at the space station, it is your first time.

------Satellite Transmission------
A distress signal has been received from a distant system...

------Scramble All Fighters------
A distant planet is in distress. The Solar Federation sends you and a small squadron to investigate. You have done plenty of simulations, but did it prepare you for the real thing?

------What Are We, Slaves?------
Meanwhile, back at the station in the depths of the sewers, two droids converse about their jobs and life.

------Faster Than Light------
You spin up the hyperdrive, make the proper calculations and take off to the planet in distress, navigating sub-space.

------The Overview Effect------
No picture or simulation could have prepared you for what it feels like to see an entire planet with your own eyes.

------The Abandoned City------
You land at the planet's capital, but where is everyone?

------Target Acquired------
You found it, but what is it?

------End Credits------
Fade to black.

About the album:
Inspired by beeple and his "everydays," I set out to write a new song every day for a week to force myself to make quick creative decisions and get past the mental block of "will this be a good song or not?" It quickly became space themed, as synths lend themselves well to that. And by the end of the week, I had a set of songs I was proud of. Proud enough that I decided I should write a complete concept album.

Being a sci-fi and synth nerd, I combined these two loves to create a terrible play on words. And with that album title in mind, I wrote the rest of the album so that it vaguely tells some kind of story. A story through space, an odyssey if you will, told with synthesizers.
